| This photo was signed by Jamie during the Official Queen Fan Club Convention
2000. I didn't go there, but my friends The Hedgehogs did and got his autograph on it for me. At first, I only asked them to say hello and give my best wishes to Jamie for me when they met him at the convention. But two weeks before the convention, I had an idea of asking them to get Jamie's autograph on this photo. I have had his autograph when he was in Japan in 1998, but it was not as individually. So I wished to have "To Ayumi" with his autograph. I tried to have it on this photo when I went to England last year (1999). I carried this photo with me to the SAS Band gig but I did not have chance to speak to Jamie at that time and I could not carry out my ambition. Anyway, I thought I had a good idea and dared to ask The Hedgehogs if they would get his autograph for me. They kindly accepted my wish and so I sent them this photo with a white felt-tip pen, as I thought white ink is better to sign to this dark photo. Moreover they said that they would take one more Jamie photo with them (which was taken by them) and would ask Jamie to sign it as well. How sweet they were! And this is the report from The Hedgehogs...... -------------------------------------------------------- On the Friday night of the convention Joy and I bought fish and chips to eat and as it was nearly midnight we sat in the reception area eating them. Within a few minutes we were asked to move as the reception closes at midnight and shown into the main ballroom where we continued to eat at one of the tables. The ball room was empty except for about 6 other people and Spike Edney and the rest of the band doing a sound check!! We were allowed to stay and watch and we had a few words with Jamie and asked him to sign your photo. When we said it was a photo of himself with a Japanese fan that was taken when he was in Japan. Jamie said "is it Ayumi?". Wow, he remembered you and he said that he would be only too pleased to sign it for you. Unfortunately we didn't have them with us at this point in time because we didn't know the band had arrived yet or that we would be lucky enough to meet them. But Jamie said when you see me next I will sign it for you! The following day (Saturday) we carried the two photos around with us and kept a look out for Jamie. Luck was on our side and we bumped into him walking along and asked if he would sign the photos and he said "of course". So we got the two photos signed for you and took them straight back to our chalet for safety. Our chalet was in the same direction as Jamie's so we all walked along together! He is really nice and friendly. --------------------------------------------------------- Though he has many fans in Japan, Jamie thought of me first by just being told it was the photo of himself and a Japanese fan! Well, maybe he just didn't remember any of other Japanese fans' name... Yes, I know, he just remembered me, as I was too crazy fan of him. Anyway, whatever the reason was, he thought of me immediately and it made me sooooo happy! ;-) And when I had chat with The Hedgehogs, they said that Jamie told them that I'm a big fan of him or I have a website about him. Woo, it's quite something to hear that Jamie told someone about me. According to them, he knew about this website very well. Then they asked me if I'd like them to send back the white flet-tip pen. I said "yes", then they laughed and told that Jamie said "I think she wants you to send back this pen" when he signed the photos. (!!) Anyway, I finally got Jamie's individual autograph on the photo. Thank you very much, Jamie! And many many thanks to The Hedgehogs for making it. |
